We have a winner! Congratulations Lois Taplin!
We wanted to celebrate Valentines Day with an extra burst of Creativity and Appreciation! so we handed it over to you.
On our Facebook page we launched the Saint Valentines Liquorice Companies Love Poem Competition and we were amazed at the depth and variety of your response, obviously it's not just us that think Love is worth thinking about and feeling! and we appreciated your input. Some of the entries had a liquorice content and some of them were very personal and meaningful, some enlightening and all of them inspiring. The competition finish line was the 10th of February 2012 which gave us a bit of time to make a fire, put our feet up and set about reading and contemplating the entries, which was a very enjoyable task.

So we would like to share with you Lois' winning entry which we thought was very clever; we liked the way she used an acrostic format to weave a Liquorice aspect into her poem, and we also found it very touching and all agreed we'd be very happy to receive a Love poem like that! So well done Lois! and here it is...
Little do you know how much I love you
Understanding, patient and true
On a dark day you make me feel like the sun is shining
Ready to give my cloud a silver lining.
In all the years I have known you
Can I ask for anything more?
Everlasting love from me as it's you I adore!
